ElectroShade System 1 & 2
Electro®/1 and Electro®/2 are available in Standard , Extended, and DoubleShade® bracket models with a 50mm tubular motor and the new Altus RTS motor for wireless switch control. Shades up to 180" (457cm) wide by 220" (559cm) high are possible with Electro®/1 and Electro®/2 Extended brackets. Electro®/2 is designed to work with our optional SnapLoc® fascia to entirely conceal the shade assembly in an exposed installation. Mecho® Extended manual shades and Electro®/2 motorized shades can be mixed under one continuous compact fascia.
ElectroShade System 3
Electro®/3 is ideal for smaller conditions which can show up anywhere including conference rooms, offices, cafes and boutiques, hospitals and residences.
Electro®/3 is available in Standard, Pocket, Extended and DoubleShade™ models with a 40mm tubular motor. (RTS not available. Shades up to 90" (229cm) wide by 220" (559cm) high are possible with Electro®/3 Extended brackets. Electro®/3 smaller size allows it to fit in tighter spaces, subject to maximum roll up diameter. Mecho® manual shades and Electro®/3 motorized shades can be mixed under one continuous compact fascia. Electro®/3 accepts blackout channels and most MechoShade® accessories.
ThermoVeil® or EuroVeil® SunScreens with Blackout ShadeCloth on a Single Bracket with SnapLoc® Fascia (optional).
DoubleShades® have all the same features of the standard Electro®/1, 2 or 3 bracket, plus allow both sun screen and Room Darkening on a single bracket.
DoubleShade's compact size allows two shades to fit in a smaller room projection than two individually installed shades on the same window.
Ease of Installation
DoubleShades provide faster, easier, more economical installation of two shades per window. The mounting brackets require less measuring and are pre-spaced to insure proper alignment of both shades in relation to each other.
Electronic Control Systems
Since 1972, MechoShade® has made a substantial investment in developing motor controls, switches and accessories adding a high degree of functionality, flexibility and value for your client's ElectroShades®. MechoShade has developed a variety of systems and solutions, which can interface with all lighting, A/V and building management control systems. The options vary from simple switches to the most sophisticated user-friendly software based systems.
Line Voltage Controls
MechoShade possesses a variety of Line Voltage Switches for basic control of shades equipped with standard, line voltage (120/240 VAC, 50/60 Hz) tubular motors. The motors wire directly to the switches that control them in a hardwired, homerun (direct) fashion and therefore do not require any intermediate controller electronics. The switches are single-pole/double-throw (SPDT) and double-pole, double-throw (DPDT) center-off devices that offer the control of one or two motorized shading assemblies in an isolated fashion from a common switch.
Low Voltage Controls – Busline: I•CON™
The I•CON is a logic-based, soft-managed system, utilizing state-of-the-art bus line technology for control of motorized shading. Each Intelligent Motor (IM) may be programmed with up to 7 unique addresses. There are 255 unique addresses available. All I•CON (Intelligent Motor Control System™) components are UL recognized and systems tested.
Wireless Remote Control Systems - RTS™
The RTS™ system utilizes special motors with a built in antenna array which allows for wireless, radio based, remote control of motors. In addition to the special RTS motor, the system consists of single and four channel hand held transmitters and wall mounted transmitters (battery or DC powered). One intermediate stop is programmable as well. The RTS system offers RF wireless control to any RTS intelligent motor within a 65-foot range.
Automated Solar Control for Daylighting
The AAC SolarTrac ™ WindowManagement™ Daylighting Manager System is designed to automatically adjust the position of the shades incrementally throughout the building to maximize view and daylighting while protecting people and work surfaces from direct sun when and where needed, using a PC-based program. SolarTrac's intelligent multi-level command accounts for “Clear”, “Cloudy” or “Bright-Overcast” sky conditions in accordance with established criteria for vertical, horizontal or sloping windows. In addition, it factors in the sun's angle of incidence, solar heat-gain (in BTUs or W/M 2 ), allowable solar penetration, plus brightness and glare control.

Flat Skylighter™ Shades
A Tensioned SkyLighter Roller Shade is a motorized
shade designed for applications that require a taught flat shade like
that shown above. The system consists of two synchronized tubular
motors and a special electronic control unit to control the taughtness
of the shade band. One motor is for fabric roll-up, the second motor is
for cable take-up. Skylighter can also be tensioned using a motor and a
A Non-Tensioned SkyLighter Roller Shade is a single
tubular motor and spring system for angled, gravity drop or horizontal
shades up to 6 x 8 ft (183 x 245 cm). As the motor in the cable take up
tube pulls the shadeband across the opening it creates resistance as it
tightens the opposing spring, in the fabric tube, providing shadeband
Soft-Fold Skylighter™ Shades
Horizontal Soft-Fold Shades: The system consists of
two cable take up tubes, one for each direction of travel, each with
its own motor and drive cable and a fixed pleat at the head rail. A
separate set of Spacer Cables keep the pleats properly spaced to a
series of 1" (25mm) tubes sealed inside the shadecloth, while a Guide
Cable keeps the shade tracking straight.
Gravity-Drop Soft-Fold Shades: The system has only a
cable take up tube with tubular motor with a fixed pleat at the head
rail. The cable take up tube raises the shade by lifting the drive
cables attached to the hembar at the bottom of the shade. A separate
set of Spacer Cables keep the pleats properly spaced to a series of 1"
(25mm) tubes sealed inside the shadecloth, while a Guide Cable keeps
the shade tracking straight.
Room Darkening + AV
Components and shadecloths to use with the MechoShade and ElectroShade
systems in areas requiring partial or total blackout capabilities.
Prefabricated Blackout Cassette Assembly with side and/ or bottom
channels. Feature a choice of custom-fabricated blackout shadebands of
opaque all-vinyl and vinyl-and-fiberglass laminated materials.
The MechoShade Room Darkening and Audio/Visual (A/V) System consists of MechoShades® or ElectroShades® in an integrated program of:
- Blackout shadecloth.
- Room darkening side and sill channels.
- Optional DoubleShade® brackets that allow for blackout and sun screens on one compact bracket.
